Create n' Craft is Back!

Our Create n' Craft group is back up and running. It's on Tuesday nights at St Columba Community Hall on the Dean Rd, Columbus Ravine roundabout (The little blue building next to the big church!)

It's open to anyone aged 13-19ish. We do various arty activities but it's really up to you what you want to do. Just come down and get creative.

We're taking part in the Yorkshire Coast Homes "Your Voice, Your Vote" competition. We're applying for support for our detached youth work, engaging with young people out in the community. We had a great day with Mark from Yorkshire Bushcraft making fires, building shelters and eating bugs! I highly recommend the meal worms...

Upcoming trips in the Easter Holidays

We got a couple of trips coming up in the Easter holidays folks.

1. Saturday 28th of March - BushCraft! - We'll be making shelters, carving wood and starting fires (without matches!). Run by Yorkshire Bush Craft ‪#‎betterthanBearGrylls‬

2. Monday 30th of March - Ice skating and shopping in Hull

Great news from Children in Need!

It gives me great pleasure to announce, we have just received confirmation that we will receive funding from Children in Need for a further three years! The funding covers the salary of the project coordinator and is essential to the project. We are hugely grateful to Children in Need and I would also like to extend our thanks to all our supporter and followers. We couldn't do it without you! The funding gives us the confidence to move forward and develop our work with young people in Scarborough. Much Love, from every at Sidewalk!

"Create and Craft" - A group for girls to get creative!

Following on from the Drop-in session last year, we are starting our 'Create and Craft' group.

Create and Craft is all about getting creative and finding the artist in you. We'll be doing all kinds of different things including:

- Working with fabrics

- Jewellery Making

- Painting and drawing

As we look to continue our work supporting young people for another 25 years and beyond we are reaching out to the local community to help us to raise the vital funds needed. This year we are hoping to raise £5,000. As a small charity we are dependant on the generosity of our supporters and charitable grants.
